Victorian Waste Education Strategy released
The 10 year Victorian Waste Education Strategy was released by the Minister for Energy, Environment and Climate Change Lily D’Ambrosio last Friday (26 Aug).
Developed by Sustainability Victoria in partnership with communities, councils and the waste industry, the strategy acknowledges the need for shared responsibility and to increase the effectiveness of education by using the best techniques and behavioural insights.
The strategy provides a consistent and coordinated state wide approach to waste education, focusing on behaviour change and increased understanding of the need for, and value of, waste and resource recovery activities.
