Councils Litter Environment Action Network
The Councils Litter Environment Action Network (CLEAN) is a community of practice that brings together litter and illegal dumping prevention professionals in councils, state government and not for profit organisations.
CLEAN aims to:
- provide a forum to connect and discuss litter project implementation and issues
- be a support and advisory network to promote best practice in litter prevention and management (education, enforcement and infrastructure)
- leverage and combine resources and expertise of members
- seek to influence and build awareness, capacity and knowledge of network members to deliver state government litter priority actions at a local level.
CLEAN members are supported through regular meetings and an online forum. Each meeting is structured around a specific litter issue and features guest speakers. The online forum provides members with a platform to consult and share resources with each other.
CLEAN membership is open to council officers in waste/litter education and engagement, litter prevention/local laws and cleansing, and officers in state government and not for profit organisations.
